Applications for Immigration Benefits

Immigration application receipts increased 34 percent compared to the number received in June 2009. June 2010 approvals decreased by 5 percent, denials decreased by 39 percent, and pending decreased less than 30% compared to June 2009.

Major volumes of pending applications at the end of June 2010 include: 536,945 I-130 immediate/all other petitions; 396,458 I-485 applications to adjust status; 213,401 I-765 employment authorizations; 171,699 I-90 green card renewals/replacements; 66,545 I-129 forms filed; 61,658 I-131 travel document/advance parole; 59,094 I-821 temporary protected status; 56,745 I-751 remove conditions spouse jointly/waive.

 

Naturalization Applications

Naturalization receipts in June 2010 increased 32 percent when compared to June 2009, while approvals/oaths increased by 8 percent and denials decreased 48 percent.

The number of pending N-400 cases reached 299,820 in June 2010, an increase of 14 percent compared to the same month in fiscal year 2009.
