Immigration application receipts increased 23 percent compared to the number received in January 2010. January 2011 approvals increased by 8 percent, denials decreased by 24 percent, and pending decreased less than 1% compared to January 2010.

 Major volumes of pending applications at the end of January 2011 include: 477,856 I-130 immediate/all other petitions; 403,335 I-485 applications to adjust status; 226,040 I-90 green card renewals/replacements; 144,080 I-765 employment authorizations; 73,019 I-751 remove conditions spouse jointly/waive; 54,746 I-131 travel document/advance parole; 53,455 I-129 forms filed.
 
 
Naturalization Applications
 
Naturalization receipts in January 2011 decreased 13 percent when compared to January 2010, while approvals/oaths increased by 15percent and denials decreased 11 percent.
