Immigration application receipts decreased 7 percent compared to the number received in May 2010. May 2011 approvals increased by 5 percent, denials decreased by 18 percent, and pending increased less than 2% compared to May 2010.

Naturalization Applications
Naturalization receipts in May 2011 increased 3 percent when compared to May 2010, while approvals/oaths increased by 12 percent and denials increased 7 percent.
